It's been a difficult week

Our new favorite place at Disneyland, and yes, I'm sporting the "fro" a lot these days it's so much easier!
Can you tell she loves Jessie????
Having fun at a bounce house place with Daddy
And jumping around with mommy
So it's been one of those weeks. You know the kind were you really DO do the normal mom things in a day, laundry, dishes, cleaning, folding, wiping butts etc. Well my husband begs to differ. It just appeared to him that I only hang out and have fun all day because I did my "job" quickly and then played afterward. Today I was lucky enough to have a girls day with my mom, sister and my girls going to Bj's for lunch and a free birthday Pazookie for my sister, then pedicures and topped it off with some shopping. Nothing really special, but so nice to be able to do these things with my amazing children. They were so well behaved and sat there while I got a pedicure. I know what your thinking, that you can't relax, well I sure got my relax on. Leah was on the massage chair switchboard and mixing it up for me real nice and didn't make a peep the whole time. Hannah was an angel too.
It was so nice to hang out with my sister who I don't get to see that much and my mom who is the greatest mom anyone could ask for! She takes such good care of us and loves to hang out with us any chance she gets. We have so much fun together and have a great friendship.
We also have great friends who we have so much fun with. We went swimming on Monday and the girls and I had such a great time. I really love our ward and all the great people who I get to spend time with and call friends, since those are really hard to come by.

Hannah is such a big girl going down the slide and swimming in the deep end. She has a vest on, but man what a lifesaver! I was so proud of her and loved watching her independence and bravery. She was pretty impressed that she didn't need my help.

So I want to give a "shot out" (no I'm not making a request on 99.1 KGGI but I sound like it) to my husband for working so hard and making it possible for me to stay home with our wonderful children and being able to have so much fun with them. It was a busy week and I look forward to many many more like them!

P.S. This looks like a lot of fun times and it is but the pictures also show the good times not how difficult it is to keep everyone safe, fed and happy while trying to suck in your gut and carry on an adult conversation. He also has no idea how much crap you need to pack to make sure these princess' stay happy all day. Let's just say I need a bigger diaper bag!

Leah's party

Leah's first birthday party was a lot of fun. We just had family over and we all had a great time. She loved all her gifts, (well I did and that's all that matters really at this age), she had a fun time playing with cousins and totally dug into her cake!
I had fun making this. It's not a masterpiece but we were happy with it.
Her very own cake
She was doing fine on her own, but Scott decided to see what she would do and sure enough she loved the extra help. She was dainty at first then she tasted the sugar and went all out. It was very cute. And she pretty much devoured the whole thing!

I'm so happy that the day was perfect for my little Leah. She brings so much happiness, laughter, sweet hugs, wet kisses and tears of joy into our lives. She is such a great baby and I am looking forward to all the many more birthdays we will celebrate with her.

One year young

I can't believe this year has gone by so quickly. It makes me sad to think of how short our time really is together. My kids seem to grow faster with every blink of my eye. One year ago I was blessed with the most amazing baby girl. Leah has been a joy in our lives from day one. She truly is the best baby and I couldn't be more in love!
She is always willing to cuddle with me. Sunday's are my favorite day of the week because I have her glued to me for the whole block of church. I love her sweet little head resting on my chest.
Time goes by way too fast and I can't believe that she is already a year old.
Leah makes me laugh all the time. Her smile melts my heart and her sloppy wet kisses are the highlight of my day.

I am so un-believably lucky to have her for all eternity. I enjoy watching her learn and grow. I don't even have enough words to say for this precious little girl. All I can really say is, I love you Leah with all my heart and I thank my Heavenly Father for blessing me with you.

A little excited to see mommy

I love my little girl so much. One of my favorite times of the day is when I get her after she wakes up. She is so excited to see me and she treats me like a rock star! I just love the smiles and the enthusiasm I get from this girl, and she has the sweetest little wave and "hi". There is no judging on her face, nothing negative in her eyes, just pure love and happiness to see me. These are one of my cherished mom moments.

Randomness

Last week we decided to do our family day up at Lake Arrowhead. So we had a picnic lunch, fed the ducks, played on the playground and cleaned up vomit from the back seat of my car. Yup, Hannah decided that she was car sick all of the sudden, which makes no sense because my brother lives up there and we go to his house often enough for this not to happen. We literally just parked the car, she said she didn't feel good and I couldn't un-buckle her fast enough and she exploded all over herself as well as the entire back seat. This is when it was awesome that me not being able to smell was a positive thing for sure! So this is why Hannah is wearing her dance clothes, she ruined her other clothes. After a quick baby wipe rub down, wardrobe change, and drink of water she was good to go. So sad though, the whole day she kept apologizing for getting sick. She is so sweet.
Leah was so content to never leave the swings, her favorite thing to do.
She may not walk on her own yet, but she loves to explore when mommy is holding her hand.
Supper fly Hannah feeling all better

This day cracked me up. I pretty much have no patience and it is starting to show in my kid. While we were playing the fish game she says, "Urggggggggg! Get on my pole fish!!!!!" I laughed so hard because she has such an attitude lately that I can't help but laugh at how sassy she has become. Even with her short fuse inherited from her mom she is still the most amazing little girl who makes me fall in love with her more and more each day!

More Disneyland

I forgot to post some pictures from the last post.

Leah doing what she does best, chillin and eating!
Hannah and mommy on "our" ride. Matterhorn is her favorite ride. It's so great to see her be so brave. She holds her hands in the air the whole time!
Waiting in line with so much excitement

Yay for happy memories! Can't wait to go back next week!

Family Day

Today we went to Disneyland and we had such a great time, I thought it was something to post. We do go a lot, and love it every time we go for different reasons but today was something new. We ate at this BBQ place and they had Woody and Jessie from Toy Story there. That was our main reason for eating there, besides the all you can eat BBQ! Anyway, Hannah was so excited to see her favorite characters in person that she could hardly control herself. She was jumping up and down to see them. They must have really liked her because they spent almost the entire time with her! When other kids came, they greeted them very quickly then came straight back to Hannah.
She danced with them and they told each other secrets and gave lots of kisses. It was so special for me to see how excited she was to play with these two. And to have them pay so much attention to her was amazing. At one point she was so excited that she fell and got really hurt, Jessie came over to her and hugged, kissed and held her until she was better. It was just a great experience for us to see these two make her dreams come true. She loves them so much and now they are that much more real to her.
It was a great day of family fun. I love seeing my girls smile and love being together. I am also so blessed to have such an amazing little girl. After every ride Hannah would say, "Thank you Mamma for taking me to Disneyland!" She is very polite and so grateful for the little things in life. I am glad we have passes and get to go often, the best investment ever in my opinion.
This is just a clip of how much fun Hannah had with Woody. This pretty much went on the whole hour and a half we were there!

Easter, Eggs and Eleven months

This Easter Leah turned eleven months old. She is growing so fast and is the best baby in the world! I am so in love with her and so lucky to have such an amazing baby. I rarely see these two apart these days and I hope they stay best of friends.
Leah got a big girl car seat and she is so happy! She is getting too big.
Sisterly love is a beautiful thing
Leah's first Easter and she loved the eggs. Shaking them was the best part I think but sitting in the grass, not so much!
We go to my parents house every year and the grandkids do an egg hunt, they have so much fun playing together and we love being over there. Hannah did very well and helped Leah get some eggs too.
Don't mind Hannah's silly face, I just love Leah's big front teeth! She is so stinking cute!

And our sad attempt at a family picture. The kids are always so excited to be around their family that they will never sit still, so here it is. All in all, it was a great day. Scott was off and that is always a happy day in itself, the food was great, the company was awesome and the drama was minimal, so that was a great day!  (P.s. there were other kids there but they were not caught on film. It was very cute that all the girls minus Leah had the same dress on, it was priceless.)

Happy Anniversary to us

Four years ago I met, fell in love and married my best friend. We are two very different people with very different opinions but we love each other!
For our anniversary we went to Lake Tahoe and had the most amazing time! That's right, just me and him, no kids! It was very hard leaving Leah for the first time but thank goodness I am a milk factory and had plenty on reserves so I could leave her and enjoy my husband with no worries.

It was so weird not having two other people to worry about that I almost felt naked without them. But waking up to this view everyday, I quickly got over it!

How can you go to one of the best mountains and not snowboard? Well I'll never know since I went for the whole day! This was the most amazing day for it too and I wish we were there for a whole week so I could have gone every day. But after a very full day of the best boarding ever, we got an aroma-stone therapy massage for almost two hours! Wow, I was so relaxed and the whole time I had my handsome husband there to enjoy every moment of it with me. This was the best anniversary weekend ever. I am so happy that I have someone who challenges me, tests me, pushes my buttons, loves me, provides for me, blessed me with the two most amazing little girls anyone could ever hope for and puts up with every ounce of my crap!

Hannah's party

This Saturday we had a party for Hannah. It was a Ballerina party and all the little girls wore tutu's. It was so cute to see all the girls running around. The party was a great success and Hannah had so much fun. She was cracking us up when she opened presents she would say "oh my gosh this is awesome!" or "Wow! Thank you!" just the look on her face was so funny!
She got a scooter and loves it so much. I'm so lucky to have such a grateful little girl. She never forgot to thank everyone for coming and for her gifts. Hannah is a polite little girl who genuinely loves everyone, even people who are not so nice to her.
Leah had to have a matching tutu and I must say, she is so stinking cute!
My little cupcake face!
Here are some of the little ones who joined us. We had so much fun!
Hannah and her buddy Paige

Hannah loved all of her presents, thank you everyone for all the amazing gifts! Hannah loves them all very much.
